Juicy, smoky air fryer chicken breast made with a simple five-spice marinade. Ready in under 30 minutes and perfect as a base for salads, bowls, and wraps all week.

Ingredients

  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 5 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and avocado oil to create a marinade.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag and coat them evenly with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 15-20 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  4. After marinating, remove the chicken breasts from the marinade and place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer (rounded side down).
  5. Cook the chicken breasts in the air fryer at 380°F (190°C) for 22 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown on the outside and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken breasts from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing or serving.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs or lemon wedges if desired, and serve with your favorite side dishes.
