This single serve Rice Krispie Treat is a quick microwave dessert made with marshmallows, butter, and puffed rice cereal. It’s soft, gooey, classic treat portioned for one when you want a classic treat without making a full batch.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup puffed rice cereal
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon salted butter
  • Rainbow jimmies (optional)
  • Whipped topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and mini marshmallows.
  2. Microwave for 10–15 seconds, just until the marshmallows puff up.
  3. Stir well. It may clump into a sticky ball. That’s normal.
  4. Add the puffed rice cereal. Lightly spray your hands (or gloves) with nonstick spray and mix by hand until the cereal is evenly coated.
  5. Spray your ramekin with nonstick spray and press the mixture firmly into the container.
  6. Add sprinkles on top. Add whipped topping if eating immediately.
  7. Let sit for about 5–10 minutes to set, or eat warm and gooey.
