Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Why does the marshmallow mixture ball up?
Because it’s such a small batch. That’s normal. I actually prefer mixing it with lightly sprayed hands instead of a spoon. It’s faster and coats the cereal better.
Do I really need nonstick spray?
Yes. You will regret skipping it. The marshmallow sticks to everything.
Can I add mix-ins?
Absolutely. Mini chocolate chips, crushed Oreos, peanut butter, flaky salt, or even a drizzle of melted chocolate all work.
Can I double it?
Yes, but once you’re doubling, you’re basically halfway to a small batch. At that point I’d use a slightly bigger bowl and container. Or check out my small batch Rice Krispie Treat recipe.
