Things I Actually Use (And Would Buy Again During Amazon Prime Day)

Instead of putting together a giant Prime Day roundup, I pulled together products I already own, use regularly, and would actually buy again.

This list includes kitchen favorites, surprisingly useful household finds, and a few everyday products I’ve been reaching for lately.

I’ll update this post if I spot any good Prime Day deals.

Two Amazon packages—filled with things I actually use—are stacked on a doormat in front of a blue door and white siding.

Kitchen Favorites I Actually Use

These are the kitchen products I reach for regularly and would genuinely buy again.

If you cook for one, meal prep occasionally, or just want dinner to feel easier after work, these are the items I’d personally watch during Prime Day.

Anyday Containers

These are one of those purchases that made more sense once I started using them.

I like that they go from cooking to storing to reheating without creating extra dishes, which is especially helpful when cooking for one.

Why I like them:
• microwave-safe
• easy leftovers and lunches
• less cleanup

I have the square version of these. And honestly I was surprised by how much you can cook in the microwave! Anyday has tons of recipes on their site!

Ballarini Parma Nonstick Cookware Set (10-Piece)

This is the cookware set I’ve been using for the last 5 years and one I’d genuinely buy again.

I like that it feels lightweight enough to pull out for everyday cooking but still substantial enough that it doesn’t feel flimsy. The finish is like a stoneware nonstick and has held up for over 5 years now! It’s become one of those sets I automatically reach for.

One thing I especially like for cooking for one is having a few different pan sizes instead of always using cookware that feels oversized for smaller meals.

Why I like it:

  • gets regular use in my kitchen
  • lightweight and easy to handle
  • light indicator to tell you when the pan is hot
  • very easy cleanup
  • good size variety

Souper cubes

If you cook for one, freezing individual portions can save a lot of food waste. I found this brand Souper Cubes in 2019 on Shark Tank and I’ve been a fan ever since!

I like using these to freeze sauces, soups, cooked proteins, and extra meal prep portions so I’m not committing to eating the same thing all week.

Why I like them:
• portion-friendly, 1 cup and 2 cup portions
• freezer organization
• easier meal prep

Rice COOKER

This is one of my favorite low-effort kitchen tools.

Being able to start rice and move on to the rest of dinner makes weeknights easier. You can even cook full meals in here with proteins, veggies, and even oatmeal.

Why I like it:
• mostly hands-off
• great for small meals
• consistent results

Meal Prep containers

Not the most exciting purchase, but probably one of the most practical.

Having containers ready makes me way more likely to portion leftovers and actually eat them. The silicone sleeve is great if you are worried about breaking them. Transport your lunch to work in these or just keep your leftovers in them.

Why I like them:
• easy lunches
• better portioning
• less wasted food

Portable blender bottle

This has become one of those kitchen gadgets I use more than I expected.

I originally got it for blending protein powders into milk, but I’ve especially been liking it for clear protein because it mixes more easily and froths well.

Why I like it:
• convenient for protein drinks
• i like it more than my hand mixer
• gets more use than expected

air fryer

My air fryer has become one of those appliances that gets used way more than I expected.

It’s especially useful when cooking for one because I can make smaller portions without turning on the oven or waiting forever for things to cook.

I use it for quick dinners, reheating leftovers, vegetables, proteins, and those nights where I want something easy but still want real food. If you are cooking for one I’d get a 5 quart or 6 quart depending on your countertop space.

Why I like it:
• great for smaller portions
• faster than the oven
• you can cook from frozen!
• useful for quick weeknight meals

Cooking for two Cookbook

I know this isn’t technically a cooking for one cookbook, but I still wanted to include it because I own it and have genuinely gotten use out of it.

One thing I like about this cooking for two cookbook is that they often scale down better than standard family-size recipes, which can make them easier to adapt when you’re cooking for one.

This book has a huge variety of recipes and feels more like a reference cookbook than one you cook through cover to cover.

If you like having a lot of options without constantly adjusting portions, this one is worth keeping an eye on.

Why I like it:
• smaller-scale recipes
• lots of variety
• useful as a cooking reference
• easier to adapt than larger cookbooks
• useful for quick weeknight meals

Food + Drinks I’ve Been Enjoying

I don’t usually buy a lot of food products during Prime Day, but these are a few that I did buy again and regularly keep in stock!

Everyday DOSE MUSHROOM COFFEE

This was one of those products I tried out of curiosity and ended up continuing to buy. I’ve been a loyal customer for 5 years now! I just seriously love mushroom coffee!

I still drink regular coffee, but I like having this as another option and it ended up sticking around longer than I expected. I usually have this hot in the mornings with my breakfast.

Why I like it:
• easy morning routine addition
• you don’t get a coffee crash and it helps your mood and focus
• nice to rotate with regular coffee

Poppi SODAS

Poppi has become one of my favorite things to keep in the fridge.

I like having something cold and fizzy around that feels a little more interesting than plain water.

This is one of those products I don’t buy every week, but I definitely pay more attention when sales pop up and grab a case to drink through.

Why I like it:
• easy fridge staple
• fun alternative to plain drinks and soda!
• something I actually rebuy

OLIPOP SODAS – CRISP APPLE

Now I’m a Poppi fan through and through but recently tried one can of the Olipop Apple Crisp flavor at the grocery store and I’m a fan! I don’t think I’d recommend every flavor equally from this brand, but this apple crisp one is really good. It tastes like a sparkling apple juice.

Poppi is probably still my overall favorite between the two brands, but this flavor stood out enough that I wanted to include it.

Tiny Things That Ended Up Being Weirdly Useful

These are the products that don’t really fit in a category but somehow became things I reach for all the time.

Some were impulse purchases.

Some solved oddly specific problems.

And some just turned out to be way more useful than I expected.

Mosquito Bite Relief Tool

This was the BEST purchase I made last year!

This tool was one of those purchases where I wasn’t expecting much and ended up using it more than I thought.

If mosquito bites seem to find you every summer, this has been one of those random little products I’m glad I bought. You add the heated tip to your bug bite and hold it for a few seconds until it beeps and it takes the sting right out!

If you live in a place with mosquitos you won’t regret this buy!

Package Opener

This feels silly to include until you realize how often you actually open boxes.

I keep reaching for this instead of scissors and it ended up being one of those tiny purchases that gets used constantly.

Neck Fan

I expected this to feel gimmicky and ended up being so useful.

Especially useful outside, at events, or on hot days when you just want some airflow without carrying another thing.

I bought this 2 summers ago to attend Comic Con and now I use it every summer to stay cool! Looks a little silly on but totally worth it.

Owala Water Bottle

This is probably one of my most-used everyday items. It’s a 32 oz water bottle!

Simple recommendation, but it comes with me constantly and ended up becoming my favorite water bottle because it’s easy to carry and easy to actually use.

It’s great that you can sip from it or turn it up to drink out of. Really helpful for the gym or when driving when you can’t take your eyes off the road so the straw feature comes in handy.

Why I like it:
• daily use item
• easy to bring everywhere
• sip or swig in the same bottle
